How Do I File My Motion to Block My Eviction?

You can file your motions directly with the court through your state’s official e-filing portal. Georgia residents can use the Georgia eFile System, and Florida residents can use the Florida ePortal System—both are linked through the buttons on this page. Once you click the link for your state, the first step is to register for an account on the court’s e-filing website. After registering, simply follow the prompts to upload your completed motion and complete the filing process. If you need help at any point, you can ask the Chat Wizard, which is trained to guide you through the exact steps for filing your motion using either portal. When your filing is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from the court system—this is your proof that the motion has been submitted, and from that moment forward, you are protected. After filing, your next job is to check your court case every few days on the court’s online case-lookup page to stay updated on any activity or deadlines.
